additional remarks The course will introduce the fundamentals of nuclear fusion reactor engineering and fusion technology. After introducing the main nuclear fusion reactions and the physical backgrounds, it will describe the operating principles of existing fusion devices and those under construction with focus on the Tokamak machines. It will also introduce the concepts of future thermonuclear reactors. *Main Topics:* - Main Nuclear Fusion Reactions and Approach to Fusion as Energy Source - Outline of Thermonuclear Fusion Devices (Magnetic and Inertial Confinement) - (Brief) Plasma Physics Basics (focused on Fusion Device Operation) - The Tokamak: * Working principles and Technology of the main components * Status and Prospects of Nuclear Fusion * Existing and Planned Experimental Devices * Outline of Socio-economics * Safety and Environment
